Gentle Love

(Rachel Walker / Brent Walker)
January 3, 2000
Brent Walker

Rachel during a visit to see her brother in Spokane, Washington encourages Brent to use his talents and gifts. Fifteen minutes later they had written this song and were off to the local studio to record. Thirty minutes later their job is done and Gentle Love is born.

There's a need down in my heart

I'm learning

A hunger for real life

But my pride gets in the way

It's another lonely day

Till a soft and breezy day, Jesus

Like rain on desert clay

You're gentle love came down

And I drank without a sound

There's a feeling down inside

Like no one understood

But now I realize

My Creator really could

And now I'm free in you

And all those things I felt

And held so long

Feeling alone

It's just another lie

You said you would

Be there for me

My heart has found a home
